Q & A
What happens if an item becomes unavailable?
We can recommend a suitable alternative that maintains the intended style, function and budget as closely as possible. Additional fees may apply if replacements are required after the project has been completed.
What interior design services do you offer?
We offer services including design consultations, space planning, floor plan development, mood boards, colour palettes, lighting design, joinery design, 3D renders, and furniture, artwork, homewares, materials, finishes and fixture selections.
How does the interior design process work?
It usually begins with a consultation and client questionnaire to understand your space, lifestyle, preferences, budget and goals. We then develop a tailored design concept, refine it with your feedback and provide the agreed plans, selections and specifications.
Do you offer online interior design services?
Yes. Our online interior design services allow you to receive professional design advice, concepts and product selections remotely, making them suitable for clients throughout Australia.
What is included in an interior design consultation?
A consultation may include a discussion about your design goals, preferred style, layout concerns, colour scheme, furnishings, lighting, budget and project priorities. The inclusions will depend on the consultation package selected.
Can I book a consultation before committing to a full design service?
Yes. An initial consultation is a great way to discuss your project, receive professional advice and decide which services best suit your needs.
What information do you need from me?
We may request photographs, room measurements, floor plans, inspiration images, preferred colours, existing items you wish to keep, your budget and details about how the space will be used.
Can you work with my existing furniture and décor?
Yes. We can incorporate suitable existing pieces into the design and recommend new items that complement them.
Do you provide furniture and homewares selections?
Yes. We can recommend furniture, lighting, rugs, artwork, soft furnishings, homewares and accessories that suit your design concept, space and budget. We only recommend Australian based suppliers.
Do you provide paint colour recommendations?
Yes. We can develop a coordinated colour palette and recommend specific paint colours and finishes for walls, ceilings, trims and other surfaces.
Do you provide 3D renders?
Yes. 3D renders can help you visualise the proposed layout, colours, materials, furniture and overall atmosphere before implementing the design.
Can you design just one room?
Yes. Our services can be tailored to a single room, several rooms or an entire home.
Do your fees include furniture, materials and trades?
Our design fees cover the professional design service only. Furniture, décor, materials, delivery, installation and trade costs are charged separately.
How many design revisions are included?
The number of revisions depends on the package selected and will be outlined before the project begins. Additional revisions may be available for an extra fee.
How long does an interior design project take?
Timeframes depend on the project’s size, complexity and selected services. An estimated schedule will be provided once we have reviewed your requirements.
Do you arrange trades or manage construction?
Project coordination, trade engagement and site management are not included with any of our design service. Clients are responsible for appointing and managing their own licensed trades and contractors.
Can these services be offered to customers outside of Australia?
Yes, Decorlicious can offer a virtual service by email or by Zoom. When making a booking please note that time slots are Perth Time Zone AWST (Australian Western Standard Time) UTC/GMT +8 hours
Is a booking refundable if cancelled or if the consultation is not what was expected?
